Nancy drew game list worst best
If the creepy environment wasn't enough, the player was encouraged to go through a string of interesting, outdoorsy-themed puzzles in order to get close to solving the mystery. However, it was the story that kept us so enamored. Mickey Malone, a post-prohibition era cabin, and his ghost dogs? Sign us up. This game came out just prior to the last and was an absolute blast to play. While not as challenging as some of the other games, the player can enjoy taking in the island life Joined by the Hardy Boys, it's up to Nancy to play the role of a research assistant in order to figure out what's plaguing this Hawaiian island.
The unique puzzles are only part of what made this game so memorable; teamwork with the Hardy boys as well as a seemingly endless list of unique activities is what cemented this game in our memories. While staying stateside, Nancy takes on a case of vandalism and a threatening note.
Being the ninth game in this series, it was surprisingly unparalleled in fluidity and graphics nature. Each character was well-thought-out and provided just enough information to keep the story going, and the outside environment was perfectly fitting for the story. This entire game had a sense of foreboding throughout and providing the perfect balance of eerie and thrilling. Not to mention, the player has the chance to kayak and go orca-watching.
If The Secret of the Old Clock was to be described in one word, it would surely be 'charming'. Personally, there is no 'best' game because they're all incredible Everything about it, from a timeline set in the year to the historical references to the Great Depression, made this game a work of vintage art.
The music, the characters, and even the environment that the Lilac Inn had been designed around were pure magic for players. The town itself was old-timey and made one feel as though they had actually journeyed back to solve a decades' old mystery. While some loved and some hated this game, The Shattered Medallion can't be disputed as not being good.
The story was interesting, albeit not a favorite, but the puzzle-heavy gameplay is what many enjoyed about it. The puzzles were clever and intricate and received praise from fans who appreciate that sort of thing. For those who were in it for the story, well This wasn't the best go-to, but still memorable.
Of course, there had to be mention of Nancy's latest case! While Midnight in Salem won't likely be a favorite anytime soon, it definitely left an impression. This marked the new era of Her Interactive sleuthing games, and even Nancy's voice actress was changed up, along with the gameplay. There were overall mixed reviews, but the graphics and story were really what sold this game. It was modernized, brought up to speed, and allowed users to interact with objects and clues in ways they never had access to prior.
Plus, Salem This time, however, the case to be solved is a little small-island-town conspiracy surrounding the sudden appearance of an orphaned orca whale. And so, once again, Nancy is forced to place her vacation plans on hold and meddle in some dangerous and illegal affairs in the name of justice. Still, she gets to explore the island while doing so. The original game that started the whole series, Secrets Can Kill is a classic, and the remastered version is incredibly fun and wonderfully updated.
In this game, Nancy visits her Aunt Eloise and goes undercover as a high school student to uncover the mysterious murder of student Jake Rodgers. As Nancy unravels the secrets of Jake and his fellow classmates, her findings put her at greater risk for exposure and, potentially, death. It is spectacularly suspenseful and constructs a fantastic adventure, making it the number one game on this list.

Not the weakest note for Nancy to go out on, but certainly not the strongest. Also Nancy pretends to be Japanese for zero reason.
I struggled with where to place this one. For the most part solid, but oh, that last chapter comes RIGHT out of nowhere and slaps you with the stupid stick. This one feels like the writer wanted to try a different sort of plot but got hamstrung by the Checklist of Things That Must Appear in a Nancy Drew Book which was chucked soon afterward, thankfully.
In which we discover that Nancy and Ned have an open relationship. Either that or she cheated on him. Aside from George being traumatized, nothing about this one really stood out to me.
